On
the Mind being the seat of our feelings by Joseph Marchante
A very
important lesson I learned and others should too is that the mind is the seat
of our feelings, not the heart. Although the heart is used as the symbol for
love and emotion, it is of the utmost importance for human beings to realize
that emotional reactions are the response of the mind to something one hears or
sees.
Although we many not think so, human
beings are easily programmable. Once we accept something as true or right,
whether it is actually true or right, it becomes part of our mindset and
becomes second nature.
That means we react automatically if a theme,
question or problem comes up and rarely try to analyze whether what we have
accepted as true or right in the past is actually the case.
Therefore,
when somebody says something that goes against what we have accepted as true or
right, our blood pressure rises and we may get angry or red in the face,
because we treat that thought or idea as “a foreign virus” trying to corrupt
our system or mindset.
The heart is only an organ that pumps blood. Our
emotional reactions have to do with “the programs” in our mind. That is why it
is so important to be careful of what ideas or proposed solutions to societal
problems one accepts as true or right, because once one accepts those
“programs,” it is “they” who run your life, and not you as the one who holds the executive power in your mind and body.
This is especially important in today's political and social environment where young people and adults who should know better have been and are being indoctrinated by university professors and those in the media with harmful left-wing ideologies that will destroy the United States of America if put into practice at the governmental level. If that happens, we will lose our freedom and our lives to a socialist totalitarian state. Coming from Cuba in 1961, I know that from hard-learned experience.
Reject their propaganda! They want to make you believe that the USA is this evil country even though we have made continuous social and economic progress often correcting many of the errors of the past, a normal evolutionary process. Ask yourself: "If we are so evil, why does everybody want to come here?"
Support capitalism "with a conscience," the system that has brought millions of people in the world out of poverty and into a better way of life. Reject socialism with all your might, the system that has never worked wherever it has been tried because it leads to the loss of personal freedoms, to poverty, misery and national bankruptcy.
God Bless the United States of America, now and forever!
